Who built this

rivalu is built by a small team that believes school pride still belongs in college, just on a phone instead of a stadium.

We're a small team of college sports fans who wanted campus rivalry to live somewhere between classes, not just on game day. rivalu is that — quick games, real schools, one national board.

How .edu verification actually works

• We send a magic-link / 6-digit code to your .edu email. You have to receive it and enter the code — proving you control the inbox.
• You need a real academic email — a .edu (or an international academic domain like .ac.uk). The code goes to that inbox, so a random address you don't control won't get you in.
• One verified email = one account. Duplicates are blocked at signup, so you can't farm school points with multiple identities.
• We never store your password — there isn't one. The 6-digit code is the only way in.
• If your school isn't listed yet, signing up creates it on the spot. New schools start as provisional and join the national standings after a quick verification.

What we do with your data

• We collect:your .edu email, your school (derived from the email), your gameplay records (matches, scores, timing), and crash & performance diagnostics (see our Privacy page).
• We don't collect: your real name (unless you give it), your contacts, or your location.
• Delete your account any time from settings — one click removes your profile and anonymizes your past matches in the leaderboard.
